The HipPiEEEee

Rockin' tha PinK
Hey, I'm Jordee. I am a free spirited hippiE  freak down into my bones. I grew up in the great Archer County five miles down a dirt road on my father's cattle ranch. Throughout my childhood you could find me out alongside the boys in the pasture and in the cutting and rodeo arenas. Check out those PINK Rockies I'm totally rockin!! Thank God fashion is always on the move. Living my whole childhood barefoot outside and traveling I grew to love nature and its beauty...or as some like to say I became the "FloWEr ChiLd." My love for Janis Joplin, the Beatles, and all that great music helped earn me the name HiPPiE.  As I grew up I was quickly looked upon as "different" or as I would rather be called weird. Ranging from the funk hats, bandanas, and hair styles down to my feathered sandals or black&pink checkered boots, it was always a treat to see people's reactions.

Myself and sweet Momma
I have found inspiration in life from their sometimes snide comments to keep on keepin' on. I was also taught by the best...my sweet Momma, Tracy Williamson, The TUrquoiSE JunkIE!! Another lady who has played a huge role in me chasing my dreams is Amy Moorehouse, co owner of Gypsy Soule. She has helped land me here at the University of North Texas where I am currently studying fashion design.

Abbi Jo & Razzles
Meet my two fuzzy misfits Abbi Jo, jack russell, and Razzy my little chihuahua. Abbi and I are long time besties tracing all the way back to the first grade. This May we will be celebrating her 17th birthday...be looking for the invite because it will be a big "to-do." Then there is my Razzles....the social butterfly who will love you long time for a good ole scratchin'. These two play a vital role not only in my life but in my part of Misfit Mollie's. When I feel the world has turned their backs I always open the door to our little matchbox to kisses and waggin' tails.

Misfit Mollie's Logo

About a year ago I got into revamping vintage suitcases. My mission was to give people who love to travel a fun way to show their personality in and new and different way with their trunk. From there it has spread like wild fire ranging from my trunks, jewelry, accessories, and now to my current love of designing. I love drawing anything that comes to mind, especially that have to do with my small obsession with Indians and sugar skulls. My designs will soon be brought to you MisFitS in our clothing line. These are just few of my favorites I have created over the past months.

I owe everything to my savior Jesus Christ because He has blessed me with the talent and passion to go forward with Misfit Mollie's. I also have an amazing family and boyfriend who support me all the way. Never be too scared that your dreams are too big, because if you ain't scared you ain't dreamin big enough!!

And a MiSfIt was born!

Hi, I am Janzen, also known a Riley. I am a gypsy by trade and a free spirit at heart. I grew up showing cutting horses, and helping quite a few different trainers and picked up how to pack like a PrInCeSs and travel like a GyPsY. Which is how I became "Travelin' Gypsy" so lets fast forward almost 20 years from that picture

These are my kiddos, they travel with me and put up with all my craziness, occasionally they try my newest designs on. Howdy is on the Right he is 2 and a Long Haired Chihuahua unfortunately I don't speak Spanish well so there is a language barrier there. On the Left we have Meeko she is 4 months  (named after the raccoon in Pocahontas) and a Pit Bull, she is ornery but cuddly at the same time strange how that works.

Well as y'all will see as these blogs go I am always changing my hair so let me introduce you to the right now Riley

So a little insight on what I do day to day. I live on a ranch in East TX, where I ride horses,(It's spring so for any of you that ride horses or know much about them its FOALING time and who doesn't love baby anythings! This momma decided she would wait till we woke up to have her baby), substitute teach for two school districts, have a photography business, but MOST importantly I design for MiSfIt MoLlIeS.

MEET "NALA"
(yes another Disney character, behind me is "Tink" short for "Tinkerbell")

By being a GyPsY I get to remain free having a childlike Faith! I serve the Lord with my whole heart, body, and mind. I have to PRAISE him because he has blessed me with the ability to envision all that I am making, and the gift he blessed me with for my hands to be able to do it!

Proverbs 17:8 "A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it. whithersoever it turneth it prospereth."

MiSfIt MoLlIeS is such a blessing, because I get to pour all my heart into it and see creations manifested before my eyes. I have the greatest partner anyone could ask for, we go together like Bacon and Syrup (try it, it's delicious) mmmm, my mouths watering now thinking about it.....Ok I'm back now.
So keep your eyes peeled my friends because the designs that are about to hit y'all are off the CHAIN! We are talking throw back, new school, retro, futuristic so crazy that they haven't even given this style a name yet they just throw it in the MiSfIt category : ))

Have you ever just KNOWN you were meant to be something? Maybe you just couldn't imagine your life not having something to do with that one thing. Well Jordan, and I (Riley) have always KNOWN we had to have junk in our lives, and not the kind like being hoarders, but antiqued look at this beautiful burried treasure JuNk! We became bestfriends at the ripe young age of 3, and have been unseperable ever since. People have called us strange, weirdos, and crazies for the things that we have worn over the years, and even the music we have listened to. NOW here is a challenge for everyone to walk with confidence and wear something outside your comfort zone, you probably have a little misFIT in you too!

Zoo's were our main attraction in our tike days, going up and down the roads from one horse show to the next making mud pies and eating them too : ) fast forward a little bit through the school years and her we are now making clothes, headbands, finding JuNk and repurposing it into a whole new life than it had before.
Don't you see the resembalance
